Powering the digital future of clean energy
Betapawa is a clean-energy startup born in Lagos, Nigeria, making energy more accessible through solar-powered mobility, smart prepaid metering and community microgrids. Its website introduces those solutions to customers and partners. Morphlix brought the Amazon Web Services (AWS) account behind it under Terraform, added security monitoring and operational alerts, tested a content recovery, and launched an AI assistant that visitors can type or talk to.

AWS resources managed in Terraform
The audited account's resources were brought under infrastructure as code, and a drift check on 14 October 2026 found no differences between the managed configuration and the live environment.
5 of 5
AWS detective services enabled
CloudTrail, AWS Config, Security Hub, GuardDuty and IAM Access Analyzer were enabled as part of the governance work, with relevant findings routed to the operations team.
13
automated configuration rules
AWS Config evaluates selected resource configurations against 13 rules, and the audit recorded 381 Security Hub checks passing. These are ongoing signals about the environment, not proof that every risk has been eliminated.
~4.5 min
content recovery, tested
Betapawa's site content was restored with DynamoDB point-in-time recovery, and checksums matched the original.
The challenge
Online is not the same as healthy
Energy is fundamental to homes, businesses and communities, and for companies developing new ways to deliver it, the digital experience matters too. As Betapawa prepared to develop its platform further, Morphlix found the AWS environment behind its website needed a stronger foundation first.
Built by hand
The AWS environment had been assembled manually. Infrastructure changes had no consistent process for defining, reviewing or applying them.
Limited security visibility
There was little audit logging, configuration monitoring or security detection, so issues depended on someone checking by hand.
Failures nobody saw
One production build failure went undetected for 82 days. The hosting platform kept serving the previous version, but the team wasn't alerted to the failed update.
Broad permissions
The website build and content-management roles had more access than their tasks required.
Keeping a website online is not the same as knowing its infrastructure is healthy, its changes are controlled and its problems are visible.
The solution
A stronger platform, designed to grow with the business
Infrastructure in Terraform
Morphlix brought the existing AWS resources under Terraform. Infrastructure changes now follow a pull-request and review process, which makes the environment easier to maintain and reduces dependence on undocumented console changes.
Security and visibility
Audit logging, configuration monitoring, security findings and network visibility now surface security and configuration issues to the operations team, rather than relying on manual checks.
Least-privilege roles
The website build and content-management roles were narrowed to the resources each one needs.
Alerts that reach people
Security findings, failed builds, health-check failures and budget alerts go to an operational notification workflow. Each alert links to its response procedure, and the path was tested end to end.
Recovery that has been tested
A backup is only useful if the business can restore what it needs. Morphlix restored Betapawa's site content with Amazon DynamoDB point-in-time recovery and checked it against the original with checksums. The restore took about four and a half minutes.
The focus isn't more technology: it's making the technology behind Betapawa more manageable, visible and ready for change.
Architecture
Managed hosting, structured content, governed
Hosting
AWS Amplify Hosting builds and delivers the website.
Content and media
Amazon DynamoDB stores the published content, with point-in-time recovery, and Amazon S3 stores the site's media.
AI assistant
Amazon Bedrock and AWS Lambda power the conversational assistant.
Governance layer
Terraform defines the infrastructure, while CloudTrail, AWS Config, Security Hub, GuardDuty and IAM Access Analyzer surface configuration issues, security findings and operational events.
The AI layer
Meet Betapawa's AI assistant
A conventional website asks visitors to browse pages for what they need. A conversational assistant offers another way in: ask a question and explore the answer as a dialogue.
Amazon Nova 2.5 Sonic
The assistant runs on Amazon Bedrock with Nova 2.5 Sonic. Visitors can type a question or speak through the microphone.
Grounded in the website
Its answers come from Betapawa's published website content, and it points visitors to the relevant pages about the company's offerings.
Still to be measured
Usage, response times and the assistant's contribution to enquiries haven't been established yet. They are the measures that will shape how it evolves.
Outcome
Progress backed by evidence
These figures reflect the audit evidence recorded on 14 October 2026. They describe infrastructure and recovery work, not measured increases in customers, revenue, energy delivered or website availability.

What's Next
From a stronger foundation to a more capable platform
The next chapter is about turning the foundation into measurable outcomes.
A longer-term operating baseline
Monitor availability, configuration compliance, security findings and cloud spend over a sustained period, to confirm the new baseline holds.
A stronger account structure
Move the workload out of the AWS Organizations management account, so organisational guardrails can be applied through an appropriate account structure.
Understand the assistant's value
Measure conversations, text and voice usage, response times and navigation towards service and enquiry pages, to decide how the assistant should evolve.
Content in the team's hands
Bring the planned authenticated content editor into use, so the Betapawa team can update published content without a developer for every change.
The Bigger Picture
Clean-energy innovation deserves a strong digital foundation
Betapawa is developing solutions for energy access and mobility. Morphlix's contribution has been to strengthen the cloud environment behind its digital presence and give visitors a more interactive way to discover the business: infrastructure as code, security and monitoring controls, tested content recovery and an AI assistant.
Morphlix builds the digital foundations that help ambitious businesses move forward. With Betapawa, that means supporting the technology behind a cleaner-energy future.
